Éditions La Découverte has made available the cover of Achille Mbembe's new book Politiques de l'inimitié, which will be published on 31 March 2016. Translations will follow soon.

Sarah Emily Duff was interviewed recently by Political Foods, a new podcast interested in the intersections of power, cooking, and eating. She discussed the popular South African confection the Hertzoggie, focussing on its complex and contested history.

Achille Mbembe's Critique de la raison negre (Paris, La Decouverte, 2013) has been translated into Spanish, joining German, Dutch, and Portuguese editions. Italian and English translations will follow in due course.

Crítica de la razón negra features a new introduction by Juan Obarrio and Veronica Gago, and is published by Ned Ediciones.

Recently, the University of Cape Town (UCT) student organization #RhodesMustFall, displayed a banner proclaiming: “Dear History: This revolution has women, gays, queers, and trans. Remember that.” It was a profound declaration that the old politics of the left can no longer hold, and that the masculinist, male-dominated forms of oppositional politics that centred the male subject as the defining agent of transformation must be confronted....
