A paper centred on my forthcoming book with Oxford University Press (Sept 2016). The book talks about how the apartheid regime sought viability in the post-colonial world. It shows how it used statecraft to redefine the ideology and identity of the white polity, simultaneously hijacking the new norms of post-colonialism and bending them to its own purposes.
