NIROX and WiSER will co-host a series of high-profile, topical but out-of-the-box panel discussions for a wide audience at the
WORDS Festival on Sunday, 28 May
The Festival, which began in 2017, is dedicated to the power and promise of WORDS written, spoken, and sung, bringing multiple disciplines together to appreciate and examine their profound influence in shaping our world.
Held at NIROX in the Cradle of Humankind, its 2023 Season will include an enticing array of literary talks, film screenings, a book fair, exhibitions, storytelling, poetry readings, and more, all with a focus on the power and potential of words. NIROX is partnering with WiSER, a hub of cutting-edge public humanities work at Wits University, to bring audiences sessions on topical, pressing and engaging themes.

The NIROX Foundation is an independent Non-Profit Trust, established and run for the benefit of the arts. It is committed to the global contemporary arts through its sculpture park, artist residency, workshops and outdoor concert venues. It is located within an extensive private nature reserve in the heart of the Cradle of Humankind World Heritage Site, 45 minutes from the centres of Johannesburg and Tshwane.
