to the launch of a new book which looks at the career of prominent South African artist Penny Siopis:

With her earliest work, Penny Siopis established herself as one of the most talented and challenging visual artists in and beyond South Africa. Penny Siopis: Time and Again engages in a variety of ways with her work of the past thirty-five years.

A discussion of this book and the artist’s work will take place between the artist and Gerrit Olivier, the editor, as well as artist and writer Terry Kurgan and Director of WiSER, Sarah Nuttall.

A multimedia retrospective exhibition of the work of Penny Siopis
will be shown at Wits Art Museum (WAM), during April-June 2015.
