Professor in Humanities & Medicine, as well as Director of the Danish Institute of Humanities & Medicine (DIHM), Aalborg University, Denmark, and Honorary Professor at Cardiff University, UK.
 
“The Black/Grey Box of Expertise in Professional Practice”
 
Background: Professional expertise in the healthcare sector is multi-layered. How does one manage domains of uncertainty with respect to the ethos of expertise/knowledge as they manifest in professional practice? This lecture reflects on the challenges faced by outsider communication researchers with different epistemological upbringings when studying professional practice.
