Invitation | WellSexuality Projects | Tuesday 31 July 5-7pm

Wednesday, 1 August, 2018 - 16:30

Please join us for the launch of the outputs from the WellSexuality workshops this April, part of a Wellcome Trust Seed Award in the Social Sciences and Humanities between WiSER’s medical humanities programme and the Eh!woza public engagement project from the University of Cape Town.

Including text, photography, film, sound, graphic art and conceptual projects, the work will be presented by its producers and will be followed by a Q&A.

The WellSexuality project seeks to investigate ways in which young people experience, frame, and perceive sexuality in contemporary South Africa and whether this has an impact on the uptake of sexual health interventions. This is the third event resulting from the seed award, and follows a symposium and gallery events in March this year, as well as the workshops. We are especially grateful to the division of Digital Arts and the Department of Anthropology for the loan of space and equipment that allowed us to hold these workshops at Wits.

WellSexuality producers: Ntokozo George, Lungelo Mlambo, Penelope Chauke, Freeflow, Thobile Ndimande, Manape Shogole, Zinhle Maeko, Boipelo Khunou
