Victoria moved to Johannesburg from London in 2014, having worked for 15 years as an arts manager in the National Health Service. She has also chaired both London Arts in Health Forum and the National Alliance for Arts, Health & Wellbeing (England). Victoria also works as a singer and composer. Her most recent musical project – on delirium in ICU psychosis – was shortlisted for the inaugural Medicine Unboxed Creative Prize (UK) in 2014. In 2015 she will be developing this work through an MA in music and health communication at the University of the Witwatersrand, as well as building an interview-based blog on health and the arts in South Africa, and working on a participatory drama project at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital (Soweto) which aims to develop our understanding of diabetes.
