Dr. Victoria J. Collis-Buthelezi is a lecturer in English at the University of Cape Town (UCT). She holds a PhD in English and Comparative Literature from Columbia University. She is a research fellow of the Archive and Public Culture Research Initiative at UCT and co-founder of the Diaspora Working Group, a research platform housed in the university’s English department and the Centre for African Studies that provides a venue for scholars interested in the study of African diaspora from the Southern Hemisphere.
